Located right in front of Karuizawa Station, this ski resort is easy to access, and not only boasts a high percentage of fair weather, but also features stable snow thanks to snow-making equipment, which allows skiing to start in November.
Mount Yakebitai, located 2,000 meters above sea level, is a representative area of the Shiga Kogen Plateau. The natural snow here, which features clearly visible snow crystals, is often called platinum powder.
In addition to the four key features of rice, hot springs, local sake, and heavy snowfall, it has a long course 8.5 kilometers in length. Conveniently located just ten minutes away from the nearest highway interchange.
This all-weather indoor ski resort is close to the city center and can be enjoyed in both summer and winter. The 300 meter course has snow of such high quality that it rivals natural snow.
