With the Outer Rim of Mount Hakone in the background, the 18 holes of this course each have their own character and are laid out on the spaciously sweeping grounds of Sengokuhara. Daihakone Country Club, the host of the CAT Ladies women's pro golf tournament, combines a massive sense of scale with the need for precise strategy. The 17th hole, surrounded by beautifully formed bunkers, is called the "lotus flower" hole. The difficulty of this famous hole is what attracts so many golfers to attempt to conquer it. The Hakone Sengokuhara Prince Hotel is also located on the grounds, which provides guests the opportunity to enjoy a round of 18 holes on this charming, attractive course with a luxurious stay.
