A Unique Golf Experience with a Stunning View of Sagami Bay Below
Located in an area with excellent access: a 15-minute drive from Atami station, about 60 km from the Tomei Expressway Atsugi interchange, or 33 km from the Numazu interchange on the Nekkan Expressway. The Nishiatami Golf Course, which is easy to access from Tokyo by train, is a resort-style course located on the Atami plateau, needless to say one of Japan's most famous hot spring tourist destinations that boasts spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. This is the only 18-hole course in Atami and boasts cool temperatures in summer and mild winters. With an outstanding view of Sagami Bay, Hatsushima Island, and Izu Oshima Island spreading out below, the layout of the course makes full use of the natural terrain, requiring a high degree of strategy. Players will definitely feel the uniqueness of the course. We hope our guests will enjoy the sheer luxury of a travel plan that allows them to enjoy two of Japan's most popular activities, golf and hot springs, together at the Nishiatami Golf Course.
A Course Layout that Spreads Out of the Hills of Atami
The course was designed to be enjoyed by players of all ages, and features holes that beginners and seniors can enjoy, as well as challenging holes that will inspire even advanced players. For example, the 560-yard, par 5 12th hole, while offering a long, straight shot to the hole, also challenges golfers with its character elevation differences. Starting with the tee shot, which requires precise directional accuracy, the second and subsequent shots begin downhill but then change to uphill as they approach the green, requiring players to not only have an accurate sense of distance but also pose a challenge in club selection. There's no feeling like the sense of accomplishment when a difficult hole is successfully overcome. We invite all players to come and experience the excitement of the challenge.
